Armoured Drone is a larger variant of the Attack Drone, deployed by the Aralien Empire originally. It has higher shields and an additional standard weapon slot.
They are commonly found, and often pose an insignificant threat to players unless present in large numbers. They are smaller than fighters and have very low turning rates.
Armoured drones can be summoned by beacons which can be mounted on large slot hardpoints. These beacons summon several, friendly, custom configured armoured drones. An organization independent from the default factions must be created first however.
